The book by Justo de la Cueva NEGACIÓN VASCA RADICAL DEL CAPITALISMO MUNDIAL was published in Madrid in 1994 by VOSA S.L. Publishers (calle Hermosilla nš 132, bajo. 28080 Madrid). The author is grateful to the publisher for his invaluable support to the edition of the book and for his courtesy in managing it.
NEGACIÓN VASCA DEL CAPITALISMO MUNDIAL is the First Book of the trilogy Sangre, sudor y hierro 1833-1997. 165 años de lucha de clases en el sur de Euskal Herria (Blood, sweat and iron 1833-1997. 165 years of class war in the Southern Basque Country). The author is working on this trilogy at the moment and already finished a first draft in 1988.
It is also an attemp to explaining the world´s situation
which frames the present conflict that confronts a part of the
Basque Country and the Spanish State. The essential line of the
book is the affirmation of the validity of Marx´s theses
on the absolute impoverishment of the proletariat and the proof
through facts published by the international bodies of world capitalism
(IMF, WB, GATT, UNO, G7, etc).
The book also includes Justo de la Cueva´s Six Theses on the conflict which confronts Spain and the Southern Basque Country. And a gloss of a document by KAS called Our present, our future, where the Koordinadora Abertzale Sozialista claims the communist ideal, identifies itself with the continuity of the struggle for communism and asserts that WE MUST CHOOSE BETWEEN COMMUNISM OR CHAOS.
The text, dated in Pamplona on 3 August 1994, makes use of a literary resource: it pretends that the book is the transcript of an audio tape recorded by the author and put in the walkman of a Basque young person instead of her music cassette. This trick has the clear purpose of making communication with the reader easier through a more direct language which avoids notes and bibliographical references.
The book has the following dedication:
To Margarita Ayestaran Aranaz. Without whose existence, coincidence, acquiescence, continuous presence, solid science, brilliant conscience, firm intransigence, generous assistance, infinite patience and unbelievable wilingness nor this book or its author would be what and how they are.
